Why would I upload an image or video?

There will be instances in which you want to use an image or video to show in your retail displays.

Below, you'll find a list of dimensions that are ideal for your displays:

Full-screen landscape content: 1920 x 1080 pixels.
Full-screen portrait content: 1080 x 1920 pixels.

How do I upload an image or video?

Go to the Media page, by using the navigational drop down in the content management portal.

While in the Media page, drag and drop the files you want to the area with the list of media.

How do I know my upload was successful?

If a thumbnail is showing of your image or video, then your upload is successful. If you get an odd looking thumbnail or it does not show, then something went wrong. Look at the rules below to see if you missed something.

What rules do I have to follow?

For image file formats or types, we prefer PNG but JPEG can also be used.
If you are using JPEG, make sure it is in RGB mode and not CMYK mode. Otherwise, your image will show with colors that are off.
For video file formats or types, we prefer MP4.
Please give your file a unique filename. If it has the same name as another file, it would overwrite it.
Don't worry about file sizes as long as it's reasonable
- Usually under 10 MB for images
- Usually under 100 MB for videos (or about 20 MB per minute for videos).

What happens when I overwrite an existing media item?

If that item is already playing, then the new copy would be sent to the displays and would play within 1 minute.

How do I know a media item is in use?

If it show as being Used in under the "Last Modified" column.

and it will also give you a warning when you try to delete it.

Can I delete a media item?

There is only one rule when it comes to deleting an item: Do not delete any item in use, unless you are sure you want it removed from your playlists as well.
